2ND PROJECT STARTED

wed sep 17 Visit to Wells T. Sawyer/Forester

This is Wells and his 100 acres of forest that he manages

He is also a member of the American chestnut association
here he is showing us how the chestnut has been wiped out by foreign funguses.

These are a few 8 year old American chestnuts that he is managing

what ive done so far leading up to this


So Far these are my wooden creations
that I've done before coming to Maine
i will add more as i finish them
This is the case peice that i made this summer
i didnt finish it all the way i will, when i do ill post it


this is the bench I made this summer



The side table i made last winter

and the design exercise we had last winter
we had to make something out of a pair of chopsticks
i used only the sticks and its rapper and some Elmer's glue

chopsticks= sushi=fish

september 16

Today Tim and I went on a sweet ride
at Camden snow bowl(ragged mountain)

we did the red route its 3.6 miles but its a climb of 680 feet but the view and the ride down was well worth it.
as you can see its a series of switch backs and its fairly technical
finally got my bike dirty and it was awesome
this is what it looks like in the winter and if you noticed in the bottom left corner
